This article presents details of public events in Effingham in the first decade of the 20th century, extracted from various Surrey newspapers published in that period. Not much of significance was found for 1901, whilst the village’s celebration of King Edward VII’s Coronation in 1902 is the subject of a separate article published by Effingham Local History Group ELHG). This is why the present article spans just the date range 1903-10.
